When an event is first posted in the schedule, your response status is automatically set to “unanswered.” This simply means you have not yet indicated whether you plan to attend. This is how the "unanswered" state looks:
To RSVP “yes,” select the “going” option. Once you do this, your status updates and is marked with a green check, clearly showing that you will be attending the event.
If you cannot attend, you can RSVP “no” by selecting the X option. Your status will then update accordingly and display a red X to indicate that you are not going.

If your plans change, you are not locked into your initial response. You can easily update your RSVP at any time by clicking the small dropdown menu located to the right of your current response. From there, you can switch between attending and not attending as needed.
