Ensuring Correct Timezone Settings in Heja
If your events are appearing at the wrong time, updating the time zone should resolve it. A mismatch between the team’s time zone in Heja and the time zone set on your device is what causes these issues. The steps to fix this differ depending on whether you are a team admin or a team member, so we’ve outlined both below.
If you’re a Team Admin
Only team admins can update a team’s time zone in Heja.
To change it:
Open the Heja app
Go to the Team you want to update
Choose Team Settings
Select Time Zone
Choose the correct time zone (ideally a specific region, e.g. “Europe/Stockholm” rather than a generic “Central Europe”).
Once updated, all team events will follow the new time zone.
If you’re not a Team Admin
Non admins aren’t able to change the time zone in Heja, but if you are receiving time zone errors messages, it means your device time zone and or your team time zone are incorrect.
Contact a team admin and ask them to update the team’s time zone using the steps above, they can make sure the time zone is specific to your region, as shown in step 5.
Make sure your own device time zone is correct:
iPhone: Settings → General → Date & Time
Android: Settings → System → Date & Time
After updating, close and reopen the Heja app.
Still seeing the wrong times?
If the time zone looks incorrect after updating:
Confirm both the team time zone and your device time zone match
Fully restart the Heja app and device
