Introduction to Heja's Fundraising Feature

The fundraising feature in Heja is designed to help teams and groups raise funds efficiently through sales of designated products within the app. Users can easily set up fundraisers, and track their progress.

How the Fundraising Process Works

  1. Setting Up the Fundraiser - Users select a product and set a fundraising timeframe (e.g., 1 week, 1 month). They determine a fundraising goal that will be divided among individual team members.

  2. Individual Player Goals and Virtual Webshops - Each player is assigned an individual goal (divided equally between all players) along with a unique link to their virtual webshop. This link can be shared with family, friends, and supporters.

  3. Supporter Purchases and Shipping - Supporters can browse the available products via these webshops and make purchases. The purchased products are then shipped directly to the supporters.

Fund Distribution and Payouts

At the conclusion of the fundraiser, all collected funds are pooled together and paid out as follows:

  • The payout is made via bank transfer to the team admin. The admin will see instructions to set up their Stripe account to receive the payout. Note that we do not issue checks.

Available Fundraiser Products

Currently, there are three main product options for fundraisers in Heja, and you choose to fundraise with one:

  • Cookies

  • Popcorn

  • Pretzels

Supporters can explore and purchase these items through virtual webshops linked to individual players.
